Small Groups

Welcome to Trinity United Methodist Church, where community, faith, and learning come together in the heart of our small group programs! If you’re new to the concept of small groups or Sunday school, don’t worry; we’re here to give you a warm introduction.

Sunday School Classes:

“Covenant-Seekers” is a class made up of middle-aged and older adults, couples and singles.  We study the Bible, as well as study books, and sometimes do a video series which help us on our faith journey.  The class is led by one of three teachers.  The members participate in discussion of the topics being presented.  We care for and pray for each other.

Come join us as we continue on this life venture.

“Faith Seekers” is a class made up of various ages. We concentrate on devotional materials and praying for our members and the church families.

“New Beginnings” is a class made up of middle-aged couples. We are currently in transition.

“Disciples” is a class made up of middle-aged and older adults, couples and singles. We study various authors of faith-based books on Christian living or Bible studies. Led by Rick Nodell, the members participate in discussion of the topics being presented.

“Crossfire Youth” is a class made up of High School aged youth. Under the leadership of Donald Balcomb, we concentrate on learning more about Jesus’ life and example. We enjoy mission trips and attending Resurrection each winter. We help with take-down on Wednesday evenings after Wednesday Night Supper and participate in any way that we can help in service to our church families, especially when working with the children during Vacation Bible School, Easter Egg Hunt and Fall Trunk or Treat events.

Small Groups:

“Sojourners” is a small group made up of young to middle-aged adults, couples and singles. We do a variety of Bible studies that often include video presentations. Led by Pam Cunningham, this group also participates in church mission projects, especially involving the children of the church and surrounding communities. Each week we meet on Thursday in the home of one of our members, alternating the location every week. We enjoy a meal together and then we study and pray together. Occasionally we meet out for a meal and fellowship together.

“Tuesday Soul Squad” is a small group made up of middle-aged and older women seeking more knowledge about Christian living. We meet every Tuesday for study, sharing, and prayers. We do a variety of Bible studies such as our current study on Luke, and watch Christian movies such as The Chosen, with discussion time following each installment. We actively participate in the Food Pantry ministry each week by packing the grocery bags and fruit bags that are distributed on Wednesday morning. Every 5th Tuesday of the month, we go out to eat and enjoy fellowshipping with each other.

Circles:

United Women of Faith (originally United Methodist Women or UMW)

“Abigail Circle” is led by Lianna Wood and includes adult women of all ages. Gathering in homes or at the church, Christian fellowship, devotions and small projects make up most of the activities.
